The Obverse Adapts Augustus Saint-gaudens' Gold Double Eagle Motif, Depicting Lady Liberty Moving Forward In Front Of The Capitol While Holding A Torch And An Olive Branch Against A Field Of Sun Rays. The Reverse By Miley Busiek Shows A Male Eagle Carrying An Olive Branch Above A Nest With A Female Eagle And Eaglets.
