Early 20th-century Art Nouveau pressed solid copper advertising ashtray by Joseph Sankey & Sons. Features four corner cigar rests, embossed stylised floral corner accents, and a central crest advertising the Lancashire Dynamo & Motor Co. Ltd. Circa 1900–1910 Approx 5 x 5 in Collector's Notes: Joseph Sankey & Sons: Founded in Bilston in 1854, the British metalware manufacturer pioneered pressed metal processes, producing domestic hollowware, decorative brass and copper art wares, vehicle components, and electrical laminations. Lancashire Dynamo & Motor Co.: Established in Trafford Park in 1899, this English engineering firm specialized in industrial electric motors, alternators, and dynamos before merging into Lancashire Dynamo & Crypto in 1932.
