Signed in pencil lower right “Clemence Wescoupe / 86” Titled in pencil lower left Numbered 91/150 in pencil Dated 1986 Sheet approximately 18.5 × 15 in.Unframed The composition depicts two highly stylized birds—apparently an adult and juvenile—defined by sweeping black contours and concentric red, orange and yellow breast markings. The protective relationship between the two figures corresponds particularly well with the title Security. The restrained geometry and strong curvilinear forms are characteristic of the broader Woodland/Anishinaabe graphic tradition.
