Vintage wooden duck decoy by the Hudson Decoy Company of Pascagoula, Mississippi. It has the distinct hollowed-out underside featuring two parallel air channels divided by a central support rib. This design is known as the "Vac-Sta" (or "Vac-Stae") model, which was a hallmark engineering feature pioneered by the Hudson Decoy Company in the 1930s and 1940s. The dual air pockets were designed to trap air, allowing the heavy wooden decoy to ride higher and steadier in the water. - 16" W
