Original engraved view, 20 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches (sight), on thin paper, old folds neatly flattened, matted and framed to 28 x 22 1/2 inches. An attractive bird's-eye view looking South and West from the Capitol, with 16 sites keyed on the map and indexed in the bottom margin, including Arlington, Botanical Gardens, Georgetown College, Howard University, and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. [SOLD WITH:] Wood engraving of the U.S. Capitol from the Illustrated London News of October 29, 1859, 14 x 9 inches (sight), matted and framed to 19 x 15 inches. Condition Unexamined out of frames.
