Framed 1982 International Star Registry certificate naming a star for Michel Roux, identified in the Draco constellation with registry coordinates noted on the certificate. Includes constellation and star charts, original document envelope, and a December 17, 1982 BusinessWeek letter congratulating Roux on his appointment as President of Carillon Importers.<br> <br> This item is pre-owned, previously stored/displayed, with minor imperfections, age-related wear, dust/debris, and surface scratches/markings. One of Mr. Roux’s signature spirits at Crillon was absinthe, the anise-flavored spirit known for its popularity among 19th-century artists like van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec. It was banned in the United States in 1912 amid concerns that wormwood, one of its ingredients, which contained thujone, caused hallucinations. In 2000, Mr. Roux introduced a legal absinthe, Absente, which used a sister botanical, Southern wormwood, with only trace amounts of thujone.
