Coleman Double Mantle Lantern with Two Globes

A green Coleman double mantle liquid fuel camping lantern with an aluminum heat shield reflector, shown with two globes. The lantern wears the red Coleman decal reading Patents Pending on the fount and has the quarter turn lighting valve, the pump plunger and the wire globe guard in place. A used Coleman globe marked 690A048 sits beside it, and a second replacement globe is included in its original Coleman box, which lists fitment for models 220, 228, 235, 290, 295 and 2600. The globe mounted on the lantern is smoked and sooted from use. The green paint is chipped along the fount seam and the ventilator, there is surface rust on the frame and the bail, and the mantles are burned. No model number or date stamp was readable on the base in these photos. This lantern has not been pressure tested or lit by Crawford Auction Service and is sold as a used item for restoration or display. Condition is fair. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $30 to $50 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
