Lorts Mfg. Star Dining Chairs – Set of 6

Set of six dining chairs featuring a rustic Southwestern-inspired design with distressed dark wood finishes, decorative openwork star medallions on the chair backs, turned front stretchers, and upholstered seats in a multicolor woven paisley and floral-pattern fabric. Set includes five side chairs and one captain’s/arm chair. Research and the existing upholstery tag indicate these chairs were reupholstered, with work associated with Lorts Manufacturing of Arizona. Lorts was founded in 1966 as a family-owned furniture manufacturer and became known for customizable furniture and specialty finishes. Each chair measures approximately 38" back height, 20" seat height, 19" seat width, and 18" seat depth. Upholstery presents nicely overall. Wood frames show considerable age/use-related wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, finish loss, nicks, and other surface wear consistent with the intentionally rustic appearance. One side chair has a damaged area at an upper corner, and repairs/alterations are visible on some chairs, including black tape on a leg. The captain’s chair is missing the decorative front crossbar/stretcher nearest the feet. Additional wear and previous repairs may be present. A substantial and attractive set with a strong rustic Western/Southwestern look, suitable for a large dining table. See photos closely for condition, wear, repairs, and details.
