vintage cone-shaped food strainer with its stand and wooden pestle—often called a chinois, The handle of the chinois and the handle of the pestle are the same beautiful blue. China-cap strainer, or fruit/jelly strainer. The pestle pushed cooked tomatoes or fruit through the perforations while removing skins and seeds.
