A large British-made painted composition figure of Peter Rabbit depicted in his signature blue jacket. The figure is mounted on an integral green grassy base featuring the gold-toned name Peter Rabbit and an embossed copyright for Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd Publishers. The hollow interior of the base is stamped Made in Great Britain. This lot includes an accompanying glass cloche with a circular wooden display base. Figure height 16 inches, cloche height 12 inches. Significant crazing to the paint and glaze across the entire body. Noticeable paint loss and chipping present on the tips of both ears. Light surface scuffing to the wooden base.
