A Trio of Cast Iron Items Including a Star North

This group contains three vintage cast iron objects. Included is a heavy circular plaque featuring a relief-molded sun face with stylized rays. Also present is a seated cat doorstop with a textured white finish, black accents on the tail and paws, and green eyes; the reverse is hollow with an unfinished interior. The third item is a sad iron featuring a red-painted top and handle, with the top bearing embossed lettering that reads Star North Bros Mfg Co Phila PA along with the number 3.The items show wear consistent with age and functional use. The sun plaque exhibits significant surface oxidation throughout. The cat doorstop shows multiple areas of paint loss, particularly along the lower edges and high points of the texture. The sad iron has scuffs to the red paint and oxidation with light scratching on the unpainted flat base.
