An assortment of hand-painted ceramic figurines featuring various bird species with high-gloss colorful glazes. The pieces include chickadees on a gnarled branch, a painted bunting, a yellow bird on a stump, and a diving bird. Bases bear a printed black oval mark reading STANGL POTTERY BIRDS along with various handwritten decorator initials and stamped model numbers. The largest piece measures approximately 9 inches in length. The diving bird has a visible hairline crack and the back of the body. Most pieces show typical fine glaze crazing and light wear to the bases and felt pads.
