Original handwritten letter dated January 12, 1943, with its mailed envelope. Sent by a U.S. Navy serviceman from Norfolk, Virginia, and addressed to Miss Cloda J. Garrett in Manhattan Beach, California. Authentic World War II-era correspondence illustrating personal communication between military personnel and civilians during the war. Condition consistent with age and use.
