Diamond and Emerald Pendant in Wirework Granulation.

L:4.3cm W:3.4cm Wt:12.4g

The "Tullework" technique, also known as honeycomb carved goldwork, is a fully hand-piercing craft inspired by Renaissance lace fabrics. Artisans first punch round holes in a solid gold sheet, then delicately carve honeycomb-patterned lattice structures from fine gold wires to create the intricate net texture on the sides of bangles and rings. Each openwork surface is individually polished before diamonds are set. Royal nobility from Italy, Spain, Belgium, Egypt and other nations commissioned jewellery crafted in this tullework technique; even the Popes of the Vatican were admirers. Comes with a large GIA-Guild certificate, emerald originating from Muzo, Colombia.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
