Bird-and-Berry Motif 18K Gold Brooch, Ruby and Diamond-Set.

Overall Dimensions:7*6cm Wt:31.6g Bird-shaped Ornament Dimensions:4.1*4cm Berry-shaped Ornament Dimensions:6.4*4.6cm

This brooch is composed of two detachable elements: a flying-bird motif and a berry-laden foliate sprig. The two components may be separated and worn individually. "Assembled configuration": The bird faces the cluster of berries, completing a natural scene of a bird perched upon a fruiting branch, functioning as a full-scale statement brooch for formal evening wear. "Detached wear": The bird element may be worn alone as a brooch or pendant; the berry-and-foliage section can also be worn independently. A single jewel offers multiple styling possibilities. "Bird wings": Set with seamless calibr??-cut rubies alternating with diamonds. Sharp linear facets define the bird's outstretched wings, its geometric lines embodying the retro-modern aesthetic of mid-century antique jewellery. "Berry spheres": Four berry clusters are densely pav??-set with round rubies. Gemstones fully cover each spherical surface; their vivid saturated red evokes plump ripe fruit. An open-work hollow back setting maximises gemstone transparency and lustre. "Bird's eye": A single small diamond serves as a focal accent, animating the bird's expression. "Bird bearing fruit": A classic auspicious motif in Western traditional jewellery, symbolising harvest, good fortune, vitality and abundance. The bird represents freedom and agility; the berries signify fruitful prosperity. Executed in post-war naturalistic-revival style, it moves away from the dense elaborate chasing of pre-war pieces. It unites fluid naturalistic foliate forms with geometric-cut coloured gemstones, balancing natural realism and modern simplicity. Multiple antique eagle-head gold hallmarks are present.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
