Very Bad At Math About Dyscalculia Graphic Novel

Updated September 22, 2026

Verity "Very" Nelson excels in countless areas as the student body president, a debate club champion, and a talented clarinetist, alongside her impressive physical prowess. She seems to embody perfection, but math remains her Achilles' heel. Despite her determination and efforts, numbers just never click in her mind, putting her hard-earned presidency and promises at risk. Faced with the prospect of failure, she reluctantly enrolls in a remedial math class, but frustration continues to mount as she struggles to grasp even the basics. Everything changes when a compassionate teacher reveals Verity's dyscalculia, a learning disability that confounds her understanding of numbers. This newfound awareness empowers Verity to tackle her challenges differently. Now, with a redefined approach, she must navigate her way through math to secure her presidency and uphold the commitments made to her fellow students. Can Verity rise above her difficulties, or will the weight of her expectations prove too heavy?
