Large lot of vintage magazine, manuals and booklets going back to the early 1900s. Includes history, art and cooking, a wide range of subjects. This lot includes the following: - (31) magazines of The Independent with which is incorporated Harper’s Weekly. Magazines look to be complete but some have loose covers. Most of the magazines are from 1916 to 1918. One is up to 1948. Magazines include many photos. Great source of information convering World War I. Magazines measure 8.5” x 12”. - Our Children’s Paint Book – Robert Louis Stevenson. Some pictures have been colored. Early 20th century, no copyright date shown. Softbound book measures 9.25” x 11.5”. - Practical Drawing Art Education Edition – Book Four. Published around 1925. Softbound book has 47 pages, includes actual artwork completed by people who had the book. Measures 10” x 7.5” - The Headlight, The Vista Dome on the California Zephyr. 40th anniversary issue, dated Fall 1989. Measures 11” x 8.25”, 39 pages. - DeGrazia, second printing, a biographical sketch. Looks to be signed by author in 1968. Hardbound book, measures 9.25” x 6”. - Cooking and Canning Made Easy. Softbound book is 30 pages and measures 9” x 6”. - The Art of Making Bread, softbound book with 25 pages. - (2) The Meat Recipes, holiday giveaway from Iowa. A softbound book from 1926. Has 46 pages. Measures 8” x 5.5”. - Young Mother Hubbard’s Baking Day. Has 48 pages, measures 7.5” x 5.25”. - McConnon’s Book, A Wealth of Health, softbound book, cover missing. Has 48 pages, measures 9.25” x 6”. - The Charm Of Color, Expressing your personality in Home and Wardrobe. Has 33 pages measures 7.5” x 5.25” - Agriculture Book, softbound book is 29 pages, from 1908. Measures 8.75” x 5.75”. - Bible Facts About Heaven, softbound book is 62 pages, dated 1948, measures 7.75” x 5.25” - Puritan, Book of Recipes. Softbound book is dated 1924. Has 28 pages, measures 6.25” x 5”. - Jello booklet, from 1928, has 22 pages, measures 6” x 4.5”. - State Mill & Elevator, Grand Forks, North Dakota, dated 1931. Softbound book has 32 pages, measures 6.75” x 5”. - Nerves At Night booklet, looks to be from the 1930s, booklet has 30 pages, measures 6.25” x 4.5”. - First Aid To The Injured booklet, has 30 pages, year unknown, measures 6.25” x 4.5”. - (2) Death Cards from 1906. Black card with gold trim, in very good condition. Measures 6.5” x 4.25” - Good Things To Eat booklet, from 1939, has 15 pages, measures 6” x 4.5”. - Instructions – Care and Use of Wards Coal-Wood Ranges and Cook Stoves.
