Excellent selection of a vintage two-piece stainless steel carving set, perfect for any culinary collector or mid-century modern enthusiast. This set was manufactured in the historic ironworking town of Steyr, Austria. Popularized during the mid-20th century, these sleek knives were celebrated for their innovative, minimalist design featuring a seamless transition from the blade to the tapered all-metal handle. This direct item holds great presentation for its age as it remains exceptionally complete. The master carving knife and smaller companion utility blade are situated perfectly side-by-side inside the original genuine tan suede-leather presentation sheath. The sheath prominently features the stamped “Austrian Guild” sword logo. Also included is the original cardboard inner display tray and original paperwork. The knives feature high-quality Austrian stainless-steel blades that still maintain excellent presentation and display with its incredibly sharp, straight edge design. The sheath is in exceptionally good shape, almost looking brand new out of the box. Sheath measures 18” in length. Master Carving Knife measures 17” in length and accompanying utility knife measures 13.5” in length.
