Unique piece of 20th century psychological history, this item is an original 1937 Revised Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale testing kit, developed by pioneers Lewis M. Terman and Maud A. Merill. Published by Houghton Mifflin Company, this vintage kit features a wonderful, historic assortment of original paper booklets, large testing cards, and rare miniature toy manipulatives used to calculate “Ratio IQ” in the mid-1930s through the mid-century. The item is in good vintage condition with honest shelf wear, scuffs, and aging consistent with decades of clinical use. The paper materials are crisp and clean, and the rare miniature toy pieces are wonderfully intact for their age, The entire set is situated in a split-level design with a built-in lower compartment tray.
