Late 17th Century Edo Period Japanese Wakizashi. Single edged, bright blade with Notare style Hamon. Blackened brass Habaki. Textured brass Fuchi. Lacquered wood grip with brass Kashira. Signed one hole tang with maker signature of Tsuda Omi no Kami Sukenao, dated January 1682 on the reverse. Lacquered wood Saya with brass Kojiri and Koiguchi. Includes silk cover, Tokyo sword registration certificate (Torokusho) and research documents. Blade Length: 16 1/2" Total Length: 21 1/2" Condition: Very good. Light scratches and finish loss. One tassel is detached from the rope.
