WWII German Army Model 1935 General Dress Dagger. Double edged, bright blade. No visible marks. Gilded alloy based hilt with steel ferrule and orange celluloid grip. Gold bullion portepee. Gilded pebbled steel scabbard with deluxe hanger. Blade Length: 10" Total Length: 14 5/8" Provenance: Lifetime edged weapon and wartime military memorabilia collection of Karl Emil Gansberg: Karl Emil Gansberg was born December 26, 1932, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and departed this life on November 17, 2025, in Bristow, Virginia. Karl dedicated his life to serving his country, and spent 27 years in active military service, followed by 15 years of civil service with the Department of Defense, and more than a decade as a volunteer at Quantico National Cemetery. Karl was passionate about military history and wartime memorabilia, particularly WWII artifacts. His family hopes those purchasing items from his collection will enjoy them as much as he did.
