An exquisite powder horn with scrimshaw artwork depicting conjuring from the year 1812. Cow horn used to carry black gunpowder Soldiers and militia members carved into the horn during long lulls in camp or military campaigns to pass the time and created subject matter that was of interest to them. In this case conjuring dominates the horn with a cups and balls magician holding a playing card and a wizard with a magic wand in hand. Very early, unique and rare. $2000+
