Vintage Eldreth Pottery Blue Salt Glaze Birdhouse

Updated September 21, 2026

Vintage Eldreth Pottery Blue Salt Glaze Birdhouse 12in This vintage hand-crafted salt-glazed stoneware birdhouse was produced by the renowned Eldreth Pottery of Pennsylvania. It features a striking, multi-tiered roof decorated in a vibrant cobalt blue feathered petal pattern alongside traditional hand-painted folk floral flourishes framing the central entry hole. Standing 12 inches tall to the top of its sturdy black metal wire hanging hoop, the stoneware body splits into a practical two-piece design, lifting away to reveal an unglazed terracotta interior with a built-in drainage hole and a removable wooden perch pin. The gray and cobalt glossy salt-glaze finish is exceptionally well-preserved, making it a highly collectible piece of contemporary American folk art for garden decorators and stoneware enthusiasts alike.
