Serial # 64348 40-82 WCF 26 inch round barrel, magazine tube runs the full length Caliber is marked on the barrel Barrel address and patent dates present, serial number on the lower tang Front sight is an Indian Head penny, fitted where the original blade sight was Rear buckhorn sight, a good deal bluer than the rest of the rifle Crescent buttplate, forend cap present Finish is worn down through most of the gun, bare metal showing, patina and some rust color coming through Barrel and receiver have aged differently from one another Bore looks good Action works, lever and hammer function, rifle cycles, loading gate holds a round Things to be aware of: Crack in the wood on the left side of the upper tang, wood moves a little when you press on it On the right side of the butt, the wood has pulled away slightly from the metal Screw behind the hammer and two screws on the right side of the receiver are chewed up Nicks and marks in the wood throughout
