This lot features two collectible long-playing records highlighting early career milestones. Included is Billy Joel’s 1971 solo debut, Cold Spring Harbor, on the Family Productions label, catalog number FPS 2700. Accompanying it is the1964 surf rock album The Dragsters by Jim Messina and His Jesters, released through Audio Fidelity as DFM 3037. Both albums retain their original labels and descriptive outer sleeves. These vintage albums show characteristic shelf wear, including edge scuffing and ring wear to the outer jackets (photos 9, 10). The Jim Messina sleeve shows significant toning (photo 2). The vinyl surfaces appear clean and well-kept for their age.
