strand of ancient Himalaya multi-faceted carnelian and agate Necklace The majority of the strand features rich, translucent red-orange to deep brownish-red carnelian beads. They are laboriously ground by hand into double-conical, biconical, or multi-faceted hexagonal shapes. The irregular angles and soft facet edges indicate ancient hand-polishing techniques rather than precise modern mechanical tumbling.
