Vintage 1944 Mexican 5 Centavos coin featuring the portrait of José María Morelos, an important leader of the Mexican War of Independence. The obverse displays the profile of Morelos with the inscription “Cinco Centavos 1944.” The reverse shows the Mexican national emblem – an eagle holding a snake while perched on a cactus, surrounded by the inscription “Estados Unidos Mexicanos.” This coin is presented in a protective cardboard holder and appears to be in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition, with attractive original luster and well-preserved details. A great collectible piece for coin collectors, Mexican numismatics enthusiasts, or vintage world coin collections.
