The DriWick Technology in QuietWalk premium acoustic underlayment for floating floors relies on a blend of antimicrobial treated recycled fibers that will wick away subfloor moisture while protecting flooring materials. Covers 360 Sq Ft - Roll Size: 60 ft. x 6 ft. x 1/8 in. : Package Size: 74 in. x 13 in. x 13 in.. Use with laminate, floating engineered and floating bamboo. Underlayment is for floating floor applications (Flooring that required no glue or nail down.) Will not work with nail/staple or glue down applications. WATER PROTECTION: Exclusive Dri-Wick Technology of the recycled fibers allow installation over concrete to manage vapors from becoming bulk moisture. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying floors from harmful water. SOUND PROOFING: Superior noise reduction recycled fibers absorb sound and keep it from traveling to other rooms, makes floors sound solid underfoot. IIC (IMPACT INSULATION CLASS) SOUND RATING OF 71: IIC is a measure of how much impact sound (walking, kids playing, etc.) is reduced after traveling through the floor covering, underlayment, and building structure and emerging in the room below. The higher the number generally indicates better sound absorption qualities. STC (SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS) SOUND RATING OF 66: STC is a measure of how much airborne sound (speech, TV, stereo, etc.) is reduced after traveling through the floor covering, underlayment, and building structure and emerging in the room below. DELTA IIC SOUND RATING OF 22: Delta rating is the best rating to consider when comparing the performance of different types of underlayment.
