GEORGE HARLOW WHITE, R.C.A. (1817–1887) – “ECCLESBOURNE CLIFFS, HASTINGS,” c.1880 Antique Victorian watercolour by noted British-Canadian landscape artist George Harlow White, R.C.A., O.S.A. Depicting the dramatic Ecclesbourne Cliffs on the Sussex coast at Hastings, England, with rocky shoreline, cliffs, figures and distant sailing vessels. Signed lower left “G. Harlow White, R.C.A.” and identified by handwritten title verso. Presented in an attractive period-style silvered and gilt frame with artist/title plaque. White was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and Royal Canadian Academy and is represented in Canadian and British collections. Framed size: 20¾ × 14¾ in. Weight: 3.2lbs
