This item is a vintage Lionel No. 89 Flagpole accessory from the post-war era, originally available between 1956 and 1958. The accessory includes a realistic cloth 48-star flag, appropriate for the pre-1959 period before Hawaii and Alaska became states. It features a pennant that came in either blue or purple variations, marked with "LIONEL" in white. The flagpole stands approximately 11-1/8 inches high with a base that is 3-3/4 inches
