A Hickory Chair Company upholstered camelback sofa in the Chippendale taste, the serpentine camelback above a tight upholstered back and high sweeping rolled arms, fitted with a single loose Spring-Down bench cushion and two matching throw pillows, the whole upholstered in a coral, rose and beige floral damask and raised on six dark-stained hardwood legs joined by stretchers. Factory label identifies the form as “CAMELBACK SOFA,” style 8016-71, and notes the special instruction “MOUNT VERNON ARM CAPS.” Approx. 85 in. W; seat height approx. 20 in.
