RARE, please read entire description, and we believe this to be correct, but due your own research. Because it is such a rare and nice well kept truck, there is a reserve on it. The reserve will not be disclosed per family wishes. 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 pickup truck, 5.2 V8 engine and automatic transmission, standard options of tilt steering column, cruise control, power steering, and air conditioning, Pickup is a short box with 69 xxx original miles and we have a clear title. This Dodge Ram truck is a "Sherry" conversion vehicle out of Elkart, IN. This is a factory truck with a factory custom paint scheme and all the Sherry Conversion options appear to function. One owner, purchased off Stew Hanson Dodge's showroom floor in Des Moines, IA in 1996. The truck is accident free and is in excellent condition given that it is 30 years old this year. Truck was recently serviced and detailed. Any deficiencies noted were repaired. Truck is turn key as far as we can tell. Sherry conversions are well known in the conversion van industries, but they did a very limited run of pickup truck conversions and this is one of those trucks. Information we have found on this rare pickup regarding how many were built and the scarcity of this type of conversion on a Ram pickup- "While a total number isn't available, standard cab, short box 4x4 Sherry Conversions are exceptionally rare today. During the mid-90s conversion craze, the vast majority of luxury truck upfits were done on Extended Cabs (Club Cabs) or heavy-duty Duallys. A standard cab sports-truck conversion from Sherry is a true needle in a haystack."
