This outstanding lithograph by acclaimed Canadian sports artist Steven Houston captures the enduring spirit and history of the Toronto Maple Leafs, one of the most storied franchises in NHL history. Titled “Toronto Maple Leafs Legends”, the piece is a watercolour-style montage featuring a carefully rendered collection of the team’s greatest icons across eras. Houston’s mastery of portraiture and layered composition brings together legendary players in their blue-and-white sweaters, centered around vintage goalie pads and a CCM stick, paying tribute to both the stars and the equipment that shaped the game.
The artwork is hand-signed in pencil by the artist at the lower right, ensuring its authenticity as a limited-edition collector’s piece. While no player autographs are present on this example, the work remains highly desirable as an official Houston creation, given his reputation for dynamic hockey portraiture. The print is professionally framed and double-matted, with a cream mat and navy inner border complementing the Maple Leafs’ colours.
Steven Houston’s hockey works are increasingly sought after, as they resonate with both art collectors and devoted NHL fans. Leafs memorabilia, particularly fine-art editions, remain a strong market segment thanks to the franchise’s legendary status and loyal fan base.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire an authentic Steven Houston artist-signed Toronto Maple Leafs lithograph, ready to hang in any high-end sports room, office, or gallery collection. Its combination of historic subject matter, professional presentation, and artist’s signature makes it a standout piece of hockey art that appeals equally to investors and passionate Maple Leafs supporters.
