This grouping combines two complementary mid-20th-century English bone china lines in a clean white glaze with elegant gilt edges, creating a timeless, mix-and-match service that reads as one refined set on the table. The tea trio - teapot with lid, creamer and open sugar—are by Royal Kent Bone China, England; each piece bears the printed Royal Kent backstamp visible in the underside photograph, and the forms are classic and well-balanced, with a gently bulbous pot and onion finial, scroll handle, and matched gold-lined rims. The serving and place pieces are by Royal Grafton, Fine Bone China, England in the sought-after “INSPIRATION” pattern; the underside marks read “Royal Grafton / Fine Bone China / INSPIRATION / Made in England,” as shown, and the fronts present the characteristic minimalist white field with a single narrow gilt band at the rim. Included are three coordinating oval serving platters and a matched service of eleven rimmed soup plates (wide-rim soup bowls), all with bright glaze and crisp, even gilding that pairs perfectly with the Royal Kent tea set for an understated, hotel-silver-meets-Mayfair look. Overall condition is very good to excellent based on the photos, with no chips, cracks or crazing observed and only light, honest shelf/rub wear to the gold at a few edges; the glaze remains glossy and reflective throughout. Pieces carrying original period backstamps confirm British manufacture and mid-century production, and while neither pattern is rare individually, a coordinated white-and-gold bone-china ensemble with teapot, multiple platters and a run of rimmed soups is desirable for entertainers, wedding registries and stylists seeking versatile, high-end tableware that layers seamlessly with other services.
