A striking museum caliber original by the celebrated Canadian contemporary artist Lisabel, Lumiere at Eau is a powerful 30 in x 30 in composition executed on a gallery wrapped canvas with deep sculptural surface and luminous gloss. The work presents an elegant dialogue of light and water through sweeping ivory gestures and disciplined black arcs set against a saturated field of oceanic blue and atmospheric charcoal. Silver and bronze metallic passages pool and ripple across the surface, while suspended skeins of poured medium and knife driven impasto create rich topography that catches and refracts light.<br>Materials appear to include professional grade acrylic paint with mixed media gels and pouring mediums, selectively enriched with metallic pigments and finished in a high gloss protective varnish.<br>The artist’s signature cast metal nameplate reading LISABEL is affixed at the lower right edge, a distinctive hallmark on her studio canvases.
