Beautifully restored antique Hitchcock-style side chair featuring an olive-green painted finish with gold stenciled accents, turned legs and stretchers, and a woven cane seat. The back is decorated with a detailed hand-painted scene of George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate, while the crest displays a profile silhouette believed to represent George Washington. Likely dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The chair has undergone an excellent restoration and presents exceptionally well, with a strong cane seat and only minimal wear remaining for its age. Measures 36 inches high x 16 inches wide x 15 inches deep. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding.
