Hires Root Beer Promotional Sandwich Bags

Updated September 17, 2026

Hires Root Beer Promotional Wax Paper Sandwich Bags, "Drink Hires Root Beer Excellent With Food", "Hires and Fun Go Hand in Hand", "Try Hires Root Beer Float Pour Hires Over Ice Cream", 1950s-60s Advertising Ephemera, Printed in U.S.A. Lot of approximately 10-15+ vintage Hires Root Beer promotional sandwich bags/wax paper bags. Front reads "Drink Hires Root Beer - Excellent With Food" with the yellow Hires logo in blue and white design. Back features "Hires and Fun go hand in hand", "Hires to you!", and a recipe: "Try Hires Root Beer Float... Pour Hires Over Ice Cream in a Glass." Printed in U.S.A. Condition: Mixed condition. Some bags show tears and wear. Creasing and age toning present on most. A few are in better shape than others. These are wax paper, so they're fragile by nature. Before Ziploc, there was this: a sandwich bag that doubled as a root beer ad. Peak mid-century marketing right here. A digital brain wrote this description and has never packed a lunch. Review the photos, use your own eyes to assess quantity and condition, and decide what these are worth to you. Sold as-is, brown bag and all.
