1970s Sports Illustrated Magazine Collection (approximately 10 issues): George Brett Kansas City Royals 'Hot Bat at the Hot Corner', Reggie Jackson Oakland A's 'Superduperstar', 'Devine Week for Notre Dame' Quarterback Rick Slager (September), Brian Oldfield 'A Rebel Muscles In' Record Wrecker (September 1, 1975, in protective plastic sleeve), 'The Biggest Derby' Cannonade Beats Them All Kentucky Derby (May 13, 1974), Lou Graham 'The Survivor' Wins a Killing Open (June 30, 1975), Jimmy Connors and Chris Evert 'Sweetheart of a Wimbledon', 'The Baseball Boom' (August 1975), 'Baseball's Golden Oldies' Cartoon Illustration Cover Condition: These are well-loved 1970s magazines showing age-appropriate wear. Most have mailing labels on the covers (addressed to North Carolina residents). Covers show varying degrees of creasing, spine wear, and edge softening. Some have moderate toning and light foxing. The Brian Oldfield issue is in a protective plastic sleeve and is in the best condition of the bunch. The Kentucky Derby issue shows heavier wear with noticeable creasing. Overall a solid reading-grade collection. This is what your dentist's waiting room looked like in 1975, except somehow cooler. George Brett's hair alone is worth the bid. Full disclosure: an AI cataloged this lot and has never actually subscribed to Sports Illustrated. Study the photos, make your own call on what's here and what condition they're in. Sold as-is, no backsies.
