1930s Cathedral Tube Radio Wood Case

1930s Art Deco Cathedral Tombstone Style Vacuum Tube Radio, Dark Wood Case with Cloth Grille Antique cathedral-style (tombstone) vacuum tube radio in a dark stained wood case with rounded arch top. Features a herringbone/crosshatch cloth speaker grille behind three arched gothic openings, two carved rosette medallions, two original black Bakelite tuning knobs, and decorative vertical slat cutouts on both sides. Back is open, revealing the original tube chassis with at least 5 vacuum tubes still in sockets, internal speaker, and original wiring. Power cord attached at the top/back. Condition: Rough but all there. Wood finish is heavily worn with significant stain loss across the top and sides where bare wood shows through. Cloth speaker grille is torn and deteriorating at the top center opening. Both Bakelite knobs present but dusty. Chassis and tubes appear intact but untested. No model plate or brand name visible from the photos. Back cover is missing. She may not pick up any radio stations anymore, but she'll absolutely pick up compliments on your mantlepiece. Ninety years of dust and charm in one arched package. An AI that has never successfully tuned an AM station wrote this listing.
