Vintage Gerz Beer Stein “Trumpeter of Säckingen” This Vintage Gerz Beer Stein “Trumpeter of Säckingen” is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Marked on base with "Gerz" factory mark and number 1012. Capacity: 0.5L Lid: pewter. This scene taken from a poem (Der Trompeter von Säckingen) written in 1853 by Josef Viktor von Scheffel, which tells the story of a love affair between a trumpeter and a baron’s daughter.
