A well-made woven bamboo tray, 12 3/4" in diameter, with a herringbone diagonal weave across the interior floor and a sturdy wrapped rim reinforced with split bamboo binding at intervals. The underside showcases a striking radial "pinwheel" pattern, where long bamboo strips fan out from a central point in a spiral arrangement before crossing into the tighter woven base, a construction technique typical of traditional Asian winnowing trays and sieves used historically for processing rice and other grains by hand. Beyond its original agricultural use, the tray's graphic weave pattern and warm natural bamboo tones make it a popular decorative choice today, whether used as a serving tray, a catchall for keys or produce, or hung on a wall as a piece of textural folk art. Condition Report: Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age and use. Keywords: Bamboo winnowing tray, woven bamboo basket, Asian rice sieve, bamboo serving tray, radial weave basket, farmhouse bamboo decor, primitive woven tray, Asian folk craft, natural fiber tray, decorative bamboo basket Dimensions: H: 3", W: 12.75"
