This pair of mid-20th-century American industrial milk cans is fabricated from sheet steel with a tinned finish. One can is embossed with HERSHEY CHOCOLATE, ECORE, and 9-53, while its handle is stamped SOLAR. The second can bears theembossed name J. H. BROKHOFF and POTTSVILLE PA, with a BUHL stamped handle and red painted numerals 865. Each measures 13 inches in diameter by 25 inches high.Both cans exhibit heavy overall surface oxidation and rust with loss of the original tinned finish. Frequent dents, surface abrasions, and interior corrosion are present throughout both pieces.
