An assortment of Native American lithic artifacts including pieces from the Caddoan culture of the Ouachita Valley, Arkansas. The group features a ground stone spade, a bored stone fragment, and knapped bifaces crafted from dendritic chertand quartz. Handwritten black ink inscriptions record discovery by Bauer near Hot Springs in June 1931 on a hand tool and space. The stone spade measures 9.5 inches long by 6 inches high.Items show soil staining and geological weathering. The spade is intact with minor edge nibbling. The bored stone appears to be a fragment of a larger object.
