Artist Gototei Kunisada, 19th century. A Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print featuring Kabuki actors in a cherry blossom garden with crane and landscape kimono motifs. The work includes a printed signature reading Gototei Kunisada ga, theSano-ya Kihei publisher mark, and a kiwame censor seal in the lower right. This framed piece measures 16.75 x 22 inches and presents a striking Edo-period night scene.This print remains in good condition for its age, featuring bold colors and crisp corners. Expected toning and minor foxing are visible in the upper sky area (Photo 4).
