A handmade Oriental area rug featuring a traditional Serapi style design. The construction consists of a hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation. The central field is a warm terracotta orange decorated with an all-over floral pattern, lacking aThe rug is in good overall condition with minor wear consistent with use. Visible abrash, or natural horizontal color variation, is present throughout the terracotta field (Photo 1). The cotton fringe is intact but shows minor fraying and unevenness
