The 2013 Uncirculated American Gold Eagle is a highly sought-after 22-karat gold coin backed by the United States government for its weight, content, and purity. Minted with 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver, this official bullion coin features the iconic Augustus Saint-Gaudens Lady Liberty design on the obverse and Miley Busiek's family of bald eagles on the reverse. The coin is widely traded in two main formats: Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) bullion coins issued for investors and Burnished Uncirculated (W Mint Mark) coins struck at the West Point Mint specifically for collectors. 1/10 Troy Ounce ($5 Face Value): Contains 0.10 oz of actual gold content. This is the smallest physical size in the series, making it incredibly liquid. The 2013 1/10 oz edition had a final mintage of 555,000 coins.
