Up for auction is a remarkable, highly collectible 34-piece marching column of pre-WWII German military toy figures. This collection features a mix of authentic Elastolin (oval bases) and Lineol (rectangular bases) figures in the standard 70mm scale. These figures were designed to be interchangeable and look spectacular displayed together in a parading formation. This set was clearly well-cared-for over the decades and features an exceptional survival rate for fragile components. Lot Breakdown Includes: 1x Lineol Saxon Traditions Flag Bearer: Features a highly sought-after, rare horizontally split green & white lithographed tin flag representing the Kingdom of Saxony regiments. 1x Lineol Reichskriegsflagge Flag Bearer: Standard-bearer carrying the red lithographed tin flag. The paint on both tin flags is remarkably bright and crisp. Specialized Artillery / Staff Figures: Includes figures featuring the distinct factory-painted red piping (Waffenfarbe) on the collars, cuffs, and chest tunics. Standard Marching Infantrymen: The backbone of the parading column, complete with molded Tornister (backpacks) and bedrolls. Condition Report: Rifles & Tin Flags: 100% Intact. An incredibly rare find—all thin metal rifle tips, bayonets, and tin flags are structurally complete and unbroken. Composition & Paint: Very nice vintage condition for their 90+ year age. There is minor, typical paint loss/flaking on a few helmets and uniforms. Aging/Crazing: One figure has a minor hairline crack near the head/neck area. A few figures show typical composition stress cracks near the rear foot or across the bases (with slight internal wire exposure on the cracked Elastolin base stamp shown in photos). The material remains solid—please handle with care. Previous owner had light removeable clear glue on bases to hold in formation, some traces remain but can be removed.
