We are offering this collection on behalf of a Columbia, Missouri estate. Most items were purchased new in the early 2000s. As per information provided by the family, the greatest majority of the locomotives and cars were never run. One layout was set up briefly but the rest were never operated. Locomotives were on display so most have some dust but otherwise the collection is like new. That said, most of these cars are 20-25 years old so may show natural signs of aging. We have attempted to describe locomotives and cars accurately based on invoices and information provided. We chose to not open and unwrap items that were new in the boxes so as to preserve the NOS status. We have included stock photos on some of the unopened items to help identify them, but they are marked as stock photos and not photos of the actual item. If you see any inaccuracies or mistakes in the descriptions, please let us know. You in the train world are far more knowledgeable than we are and we are always eager to learn. We are happy to ship anything in the auction (with the exception of the butane fuel). Most of the locomotives and a few of the cars have the original foam lined shipping boxes and can be shipped in those. We have many years of experience and ship in house, utilizing UPS and USPS, whichever is most economical.
