Vintage 1944 Benrus rectangular art deco mechanical wristwatch featuring a 21.33mm base metal top case with decorative step-profile tiered pyramidal hooded lugs and a solid stainless steel snap-on caseback engraved with serial number 403216 and a presentation dedication. The original cream-toned sector dial displays an inner rectangular track ring, gold-tone Arabic numeric hour counters, leaf-style hands, and a square sub-seconds register centered at the 6 o'clock position. The watch is powered by a Swiss-made, unadjusted manual-wind Benrus Watch Co. caliber AK 16 movement equipped with 17 jewels, presented on a two-tone expandable metal link expansion style stretch bracelet.This mechanical watch is running as of the time of listing, though a professional service is required for accurate timekeeping, and extended runtime without service is not guaranteed.
