1970s HMT Jawan Military W10/6645 Watch

This is a genuine Indian military-issue timepiece: an HMT Jawan, the watch model supplied to NCOs of the Indian Army through the Ordnance Factory Board, with authentic military stock-issue markings on the case back. The case back is stamped with the British-style broad arrow ordnance mark above "Stainless Steel Case, Shock Proof," reference "W10/6645-000035," serial "GB 32482," and "0214018." The yellow dial is signed "hmt, Jawan," with "17 Jewels, Para Shock" and "Made in India 0231" printed below, bold green Arabic numerals, a luminous drop-shaped hour hand and baton minute hand, a red sweep second hand, and a broad arrow printed on the dial itself beneath the hands. The manual-wind movement is signed "hmt, 17J." Case diameter measures approximately 35.89mm excluding the crown, and the watch is fitted to a black lizard-embossed leather strap with a gold-tone buckle. This watch is running as of the time of listing; runtime and accuracy are not guaranteed, and service is recommended for accurate timekeeping. Extended runtime without service is not guaranteed.
